Jeffrey Dean Tepfer
October 18, 1956 - February 8, 2015
Jeff was born in Caldwell on October 18, 1956 to Ardith and Clair Tepfer. He attended Middleton schools, graduating from Middleton High School. After high school, Jeff moved to northern Idaho with his parents where he spent a brief time before moving to Evanston, Wyoming, where he was employed in the oil fields.
Jeff later returned to Idaho and married. He enjoyed his new role as stepdad and occupied a lot of free time coaching basketball and baseball. He was involved in many fund raisers for the community of Middleton. Jeff worked in the construction field for many years until a back injury forced him to change occupations. He opened Truly Unique Trophies & Gifts in Middleton and took pride in his work there.
Jeff particularly enjoyed working on cars of all types and entered several in local parades. Jeff's interest in cars probably began in his younger years when he helped as part of the pit crew for his uncle who raced sprint cars. He was also involved in restoring antique cars. Jeff loved animals and cared very much for his pet cats.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Ardith Tepfer of Caldwell; step-sister, Marsha (Bill) Ward of Whidbey Island, WA; step-brother, Jerry Tepfer of Portland, OR; and numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
