John Albert Tarter
John Albert Tarter, 63, was born to William Kennedy and Thelma Connard Tarter on August 27, 1952. He went home to his Father in Heaven, October 14, 2015. John was the youngest of three brothers, born in New York City. At the age of nine he moved with his family to southern California where he remained for many years. John married the love of his life, Diane, in January of 1975, with whom he had two children. Later John lived in Yuma, Arizona and Meridian, Mississippi before settling in Nampa, Idaho to be closer to his children and grandchildren. John loved to play golf, spend time with his grandchildren, collect antiques and play the guitar. It was common to find John on a golf course nearly every day, with a group of friends or family.
John passed away, surrounded by those he loved so dearly, in the comfort of his own home. He was preceded in death by his father, William and mother, Thelma. He is survived by his wife Diane; his son Jason and daughter-in-law Jennifer; daughter April and son-in-law Dane; his six grandchildren: Jacob, Abigail, Jesse, Nathan, Georgia and Harvey; his brothers Thomas and William; and his beloved English Springer Spaniels Henry and Winston.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa. 467-7300. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com
