Judy Ione Atwood

Judy Ione Atwood, 74, of Nampa, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at her home in Nampa. Judy was born June 29, 1940 in Moab, Utah to Joseph and Lorraine Wheeler. She was the fourth of six children. She married Marshall Carr in 1955 and had 8 children. She moved to Idaho with her children in 1969, living in Nampa, Kuna and Emmett and finally settling in Nampa in 1975. She married Bob Atwood in 1980 and they adopted two children together.
Judy was active in the LDS church for many years. She worked several years at Boise Cascade until an injury forced her to retire. July loved quilting, sewing, baking and canning.
She is preceded in death by her parents. brothers Ken and Dean Wheeler and husband Bob Atwood. She is survived by her children, Marshall Carr of Middleton, Syd (Linda) Carr of Emmett, Lester Carr of Nampa, John (Wendy) Carr of Escondido, CA, Julie Frasier of Nampa, Jeri Carr of Boise, Judy Carr of Nampa, Warner (Cheryl) Carr of Irvine, CA, Ryan (Anna) Atwood of Emmett, Lisa (Josh) Tobies of Nampa, and numerous grandchildren, great children, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Nampa First Christian Church with an inurnment to follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. An online guestbook is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com.
