Kevin Arthur Swan
September 10,1957 - January 3, 2016
Kevin Arthur Swan, 58 of Givens Hot Springs area passed away on January 3, 2016 at home surrounded by his daughter, family and friends after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on September 10,1957 in Yerington, Nevada to Donald Charles Swan(born in Idaho) and Bettie Lou Young (born in Missouri).
He was one of 9 sons and after a number of moves, he graduated from Kuna High School in May of 1976. He was married twice. He served proudly in the marines from January 20,1982 to January 18,1985. He peeled logs for a living while in Montana and then returned to Idaho were he worked in a couple of slaughter houses in the Treasure Valley and a sheep ranch in Riggins, Idaho.
Kevin loved sports and while in school he participated in basketball, football, track and wrestling.He continued after high school by watching all sports he could on t.v. but also encouraged his niece (Carrie) in track, following his nephew, Charles Swan while he played football in high school. He was Charles biggest fan. In addition he loved to go hunting and fishing and camping and a yearly hunting and fishing trip occurred for years. Kevin's biggest attributes were love of telling stories, his since of humor and his amazing , and positive attitude throughout his fight with cancer.
He has one surviving daughter as well as a surviving aunt and uncle and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents step-parents and two brothers and a cousin.
I could go on but I think that for myself and everyone I have talked to that we will always remember Kevin with a smile. We love you, honey pie!
Memorial gatherings will be planned for sometime this late spring/summer. Please bring your stories and memories with you. To be announced at a later date.
