Lawrence "Larry" J. Demarse Jr.
September 11, 1963 - January 13, 2016
On January 13, 2016, the Lord sent a special angel to bring Larry home to him.
Larry was born in Lancaster California to Lawrence and June Demarse and was welcomed into this world with much love and joy.
Larry, and later his brother Barron, spent many days outside snake and lizard hunting, and dirt bike riding & BMX racing.
Larry spent most of his childhood and teen years in Lancaster, but moved to Simi Valley, CA in his senior year where he graduated from Royal High School in 1981.
After graduation, he joined the Marines and went through boot camp at Camp Pendleton, CA. where he made Corporal and platoon leader of the 1st Battalion, Battery 3, 14th Marines, 4th Marine Division. Larry was proud to be a Marine throughout his life.
In 1993, he married Kerri Harper, had 3 children and lived in Simi Valley, CA until they moved to Middleton, ID in October of 2005.
Larry had four passions in life, The Lord, his 3 children, dirt bike racing and landscaping. He loved being outside. Before moving to Idaho he had his own landscaping business, which he loved. After moving to Idaho he worked for the City of Garden City from 2005 to 2013.
In 2013 Larry and Kerri sadly divorced and he resided with his Mom and Stepdad until his passing.
Larry leaves behind his Dad and stepmom: Lawrence and Sandi Demarse of Simi Valley, CA, his Mom and stepdad: June and Neville Soloman of Caldwell, ID, his three beloved children: Holli, Nathan and Asher of Middleton, ID, younger brother Barron of Titusville, FL of whom he loved with all his heart. Also left behind is his favorite aunt: Dolly of Calif. City, CA who was his "Popsicle Buddy" many years ago, nephew: Danny Hiegle of Boron, CA, nieces: Brandie Bailey and Tiffany Fridwell of Oregon, also, Larry's best friend and "Hanging Out" Lady: Roxanne of Caldwell, ID.
Son, your journey on this walk through life touched more people than you will ever know. Many tears and broken hearts have been left behind. We will always remember and miss that wonderful smile and sense of humor you had and those memories will help carry us through the days, until we meet again in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, all who knew and cared for Larry, please go to your yard or garden and plant a tree, bush or flower and remember him with love.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd in Caldwell. Condolences may be left at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
