Lila Jean Fosbenner
April 23, 1930 - September 2, 2016
Lila Jean Fosbenner, age 86 died peacefully in her home with her family by her side on September 2, 2016 in Nampa, Idaho.
Lila was born in Artesian, South Dakota April 23, 1930 to Roy and Hazel Bick. She had 2 sibilings sister Esther and brother Raymond who had preceded in her death. She loved her family.
She came out to Nampa, Idaho and attended NNC before moving to Kansas City where she met her sweetheart, Gerald L. Fosbenner. They were married in South Dakota on April 18, 1957. They had 2 children Gerald L. Fosbenner II and Lynda (Fosbenner) Black. In 1972 her husband passed away and she lost her son to an accident in 1979. This left Lila and Lynda to take on the world alone, and Lila did an amazing job. My mother Lila, did perfect! I will miss my everyday conversations with my beautiful mother. She was my hero.
Her Grandchildren, Jonathan (my little prince) Rey and Abegayle (Grandma's little darling) Black were her world. She loved and cherished them. She faithfully took her grandchildren to church and made sure they knew that God loved them and because of her faithfulness, both her grandchildren accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. My mother loved the Lord and praised him everyday. The most faithful, forgiving, devoted Christian. She is in the arms of the Lord.
Lila is survived by her daughter Lynda and Son In Law Mickey Black, grandchildren Abegayle and Jonathan, brother in law Raymond Thompson, Niece Sue (Dennis) Westgard, Nephew Richard (Connie) Thompson, and Esther Michaelis and family. She loved her College Church family and the Grace Notes Chior as well. Today she is singing in Heaven.
There will be a viewing at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel on Tuesday September 6, 2016 from 5-7pm, and a Celebration of her life Wednesday September 7, 2016 at College Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 am. Entombment will precede the services in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
