Lloyd was born May 9, 1935, at Big Falls, Minnesota, to Adam and Beatrice Dennis Martin. He was the oldest of seven children. In his youth their family moved several times, finally settling in Nampa, ID where he attended Nampa High School until his sophomore year. He and his wife Rosalyn were blessed with five children: Anna Marie, Gary, Deanna, Connie and Jim (Butch). He later married Lois Heaton in 1971 and her four children: Terry, Susan, Kirk and Chuck became part of the family. Together they had 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Sonny worked as a baker and loved fishing and snowmobiling and also enjoyed going to their cabin. He loved eating at the Golden Corral and the Panda. He was a member of the Star Road Church of the Brethren.
Sonny is survived by his wife Lois; children: Deanna, Gary, Connie, Jim (Butch); and siblings Jim (Georgia) Martin and Ruth (David) Row. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings and one daughter.
