Lynn Williams
10/13/1923 - 12/5/2015
Lynn Williams was born on October 13, 1923 in Clarion, Utah. He was the youngest of 11 children born to Orrin and Alda Sanderson Williams. Lynn grew up in Milford, Utah. He quit school his junior year and joined the Navy in 1942. He was aboard the USS Birmingham. While in the Navy he found a pen pal, Marjorie J. Anketell. He met Margie on one of his leaves from service. After he was honorably discharged in 1946 he went to Nampa, Idaho and one week later they were married on May 19, 1946. They would have been married 70 years in May of 2016.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and his 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Margie; three children, Louise and twins Jerry (Terry) and Janice (Jim); four grandchildren, Angie, Chad, Jamie, and Ben; and five great grandchildren, Cierra, Adian, Keagan, Joshua and Icle.
The family would like to give a special thank you for the wonderful care from all the staff and Doctors at Marquis Care Shaw Mountain and to Wendy, Amanda, Karlie and Karen (angels) from Harrison's Hope Hospice. A small Military service will be held on Thursday, December 10th 2015 at 2:00pm at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the Williams family would rather donations be made to your local Alzheimer's Research organization in the names of Lynn and Marjorie Williams.
