M. Lucille Lund, 98, of Nampa passed away, Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. A memorial gathering will be from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, September 16 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa. Interment will immediately follow at Cloverdale Cemetery, Boise.
Lucille was born November 8, 1916 at Beloit, Kansas to John and Myrel Smith. She graduated from Beloit High in 1935, then worked at Duckwall Variety Store in Beloit. Lucille married Harold Lund September 8, 1937 then moved to Nampa, Idaho in August, 1938. To this union two daughters were born, Karen and Carol. Lucille was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She worked in the lab at General Foods (Birds Eye) for 15 years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church.
Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Karen Giem (David) of Greenwood Village, Colorado and Carol Lund of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Mylynda Yockey (Brook) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Chris Giem (Michelle) of Overland Park, Kansas; three great grandchildren, David, George, Lucy and Tanner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lund; parents, John and Myrel Smith; two sister, Irene Kruckenberg and Lazell Smith.
