Marilyn J Dye
September 12, 1939 - April 6, 2016
Marilyn Dye passed away peacefully at home April 6, 2016 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer where she remained brave and iron-willed, even throughout her final months.
Marilyn was born in Helon Lake, Minnesota. She was one of 4 children born to the late Willard Fox and Ada Lawson.
Marilyn had a passion and was an advocate for sheltered animals. She befriended numerous stray animals and adopted many form the local shelter. She had a love for horses and talked often about her experiences on numerous occasions. She had a love for football and Jeopardy! Each person Marilyn met was touched by her genuine compassion.
One of her many charities was CCOA, a non-profit human services organization that provides many programs to assist elderly. She especially appreciated their Food for Pets program. In addition she supported Pet Haven, and Caldwell Veterans Council.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Phil of 32 years, her parents Willard and Ada and her brother Chuck.
Marilyn will be remembered by all who knew her with great fondness to include her children, step children, their families, and her sisters Betty and Leola.
Marilyn requested no public service and that we celebrate her life with memories of time shared together.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the outstanding care of Legacy Hospice.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the following organizations: CCOA, Canyon County Pet Haven Inc. or a Haven of your choice.
