Marilyn Rose Tucker
June 28, 1937 - December 23, 2016
Marilyn (Nana) Rose Tucker, 79, of Nampa, passed away on December 23, 2016 in Nampa, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with the Don Bertelsen of The Oregon Trail Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
Marilyn was born in Boise, Idaho to Fred and Anna Fercho on June 28, 1937. She went to school in Middleton, Idaho. She married John L.E. Tucker on May 2, 1954 in Middleton. She worked as an Accounts Payable at various companies throughout her life as her and her husband traveled with the U.S. Air Force. She retired from the College of Idaho in 2005. She was involved in the Elks P.O.B. 1448, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Eastern Stars.
Marilyn had a great life filled with travels across the U.S. and Europe. She took great pride in her hobbies that included bowling, gardening, sewing and other various crafts that she took up along the way. She was always ready to help in any way she could. Her heart was filled with love, joy, care, and compassion. In her final days, her greatest joys were in her great-grandchildren. She loved to sit and watch them play for hours on end and snuggle by the end of the day.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, John L.E. Tucker, her brother Emil Fercho, her parents Fred and Anna Fercho, brother-in-law, Jerre Sherrer and Bud Dick.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Uhl, brother, Gene Fercho and wife Carol, sister, Shirley Whitney and husband Steve, sister, Helen Sherrer, sister-in-law Patsey Fercho, grandson, John Uhl, granddaughter, Kimber Hall and husband Michael Hall, great grandchildren Truen Uhl, Emma Hall and Ruby Hall, longtime family friend, Marilyn (Denny) Craven, and Bill Uhl.
The family of Marilyn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Doctor David Neilson and Rosie at Saint Luke's Clinic- Internal Medicine, Boise, Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Hospital, Nampa, Michelle and Troy and care team at Horizon Home Health and Hospice, Caldwell, and Dave and caring staff at Norco, Nampa.
