Marjorie J. Williams

Marjorie Jean Williams, 88, of Nampa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in a Boise care center. Marjorie was born to Ben and Willa Anketell on October 27, 1927 in Nampa, Idaho. She was a lifetime resident of Nampa. Marjorie met a sailor named Lynn Williams and after 3 days of courtship many letters sent while he was serving they were married on May, 19, 1946. Of this union they had 3 children; Lou Williams of Denver, CO. and twins Jan (Jim) Hiatt of Boise, and Jerry (Terry) of Ramona, California. Marjorie worked for over 20 years for the Idaho State Historical Library and Archives. Around the home Marjorie was a jack of all trades, cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, if it could or needed to be done, she did it.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her Parents, and Her Husband. She is survived by her 3 children, her grandchildren; Jamie Johnson, Angie Johnson, Chad Williams, and Ben Williams, Her great grandchildren; Adian, Cerria, Keagan, Joshua, and Icle.
A graveside memorial will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00AM where she will be placed next to her husband. . In lieu of flowers the Williams family would rather donations be made to your local Alzheimer's Research organization in the names of Lynn and Marjorie Williams. The family would like to thank all the staff at Shaw Mountain Cascadia, and Harrison's Hope Hospice especially Maria and Becca for their love and care of Our Mother.
