Marvin Ihl Bigham
April 1st 1939 - April 20th 2017
Marvin was born in Barneston, Nebraska. He graduated high school in Kansas, and then moved to Idaho where he met his first wife and together they raised three boys. He later re-married and had a daughter from that marriage. Marvin enjoyed two careers spanning over 45 years; Dairyman's Creamery and Amalgamated Sugar. He retired at age 65 to enjoy raising his chickens and pigeons. Marvin lived a simple life, enjoying most of his time at home. In the summer he managed a garden of bounty and enjoyed giving most of his veggies away to family and friends. Marvin also spent time fishing Idaho's lakes and rivers, and in the fall he could be found in the family's traditional hunting camp. Successes were many in Marvin's life and they were simple as they should be. He had many friends and considered most of them family, perhaps that was Marvin's greatest gift. He judged few but accepted all. Marvin is survived by 3 of his 4 children - Gary Bigham, Rob Bigham and Lisa Velazquez - his brother, Wendell Bigham, and all of his grandchildren. His oldest son, Don Bigham, preceded him in death. Marvin will be missed dearly but always remembered on a rainy day, where he could be found in the back yard with a warm fire and gathering of good friends.
