Paige L Lucas (Bonde)
September 1, 1963 - October 20, 2015
Paige Lucas (Bonde) died peacefully in her sleep at home in Lake Stevens, WA on Oct. 20 at age 52.
Paige is survived by her parents A.N. Bonde, OD and Shirley Bonde of Boise, ID; husband Larry and daughter Cheyenne of Lake Stevens, WA; sisters Toni (Claire) Bonde of Alameda, CA, and Nicole (Steve) Collins of Boise, ID; brother-in-law Dave (Kim) Lucas of Deer Park, WA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Paige was born on Sept.1,1963, in Rupert, ID. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1981. Paige met the love of her life, Larry, in Oklahoma City, OK, and they married on May 31, 1985. The couple moved to Everett, WA, where they had their beautiful daughter, Cheyenne, on May 25, 1993. The family settled in Lake Stevens in 1996.
Paige was a loving wife and mother, who took great pride and joy in raising her daughter Cheyenne. Paige also worked as a teen advocate in Snohomish County, WA, for many years where she helped many troubled teens as few could and it was one of her deepest life callings. Paige's love for animals, especially dogs, was incredible; she rescued so many and would have taken them all in if she could. In recent years Paige became an avid football fan, rooting enthusiastically for the Seattle Seahawks and Boise State University Broncos.
Paige made lifelong friends, as she had such a great spirit of love and kindness. She was so witty and always could make you smile and laugh until you were in tears.
Paige suffered for years from fibromyalgia and the medications she needed to manage her pain weakened her heart and other organs. When she fell ill suddenly her body did not have the strength to fight back. She is out of pain and in peace with her many friends and relatives that have gone before her.
Paige was so deeply loved and will be desperately missed.
A celebration of Paige's life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 2 pm at the VFW Post 63, 8931 W Ardene Street, Boise, ID, for all who knew and loved her. In celebration of her favorite sports teams, please consider wearing BSU or Seahawks attire. In lieu of flowers we would appreciate a donation to your local animal shelter in Paige's memory. Reception to follow at the VFW.
