Richard Hans Hansen
November 13, 1945 - February 28, 2017
Richard H. Hansen was born in Caldwell, Idaho on November 13, 1945 to Virginia Bailey Hansen and John Lawrence Hansen. He attended Central Park Elementary School, Middleton Middle School and graduated from Nampa High School in May 1964.
He married Jeanie Dayton in 1966. He and Jeanie had one daughter, Jo Michele. They were later divorced. He married Vicki Schober in 1971 and they had two children, Heather and Ricky.
Rick's career was in sign painting however, he was a jack of all trades. He was an artist, an author, an intellect, a great friend, wonderful brother, but most of all a loving father. His children and grandchildren were his life. Rick cared for all who crossed his path and helped a multitude of people along the way. He will be so very missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his brother, John; nephews, Noah and Robert; and a niece, Denise. He is survived by his brother, Leon Hansen, Oregon City, Oregon; sister, Senna Antrim, Nampa, Idaho; daughter, Heather Shaddy; son, Richard W. Hansen; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rick's life and a potluck dinner will be held at 3:00 p.m., March 12, 2017 at the Baptist Adventure Plaza, Middleton, Idaho. Following, please join Rick's family at McEvoys Pond for a bonfire, balloon release, spirits and possibly fireworks.
