Celebrating the Life of Robert Leo Belles
Rob, better known as Pastor Rob, went to meet his Lord on April 25, 2016. Rob was born in Everett, WA on May 23, 1971 to Ron and Kathy Belles. Rob grew up in Marysville and attended Marysville Pilchuck High where Rob graduated in June, 1989. Rob went on to attend Everett Community College where he graduated with honors. After graduation, Rob worked with his Dad and Uncle in the family trucking business, American By-Products for the next ten years becoming a partner.
Rob felt the calling of our Lord to go into ministry and being a faithful servant, sold all his possessions, resigned as a full partner in the business and by faith enrolled at San Jose Christian College in San Jose California (SJCC) which became William Jessup University. It was at SJCC where he met his future bride, April Whittington. Rob and April became close friends and eventually the Lord gave Rob direction that they should be married. They were married on February 28, 2004. In May of 2005, Rob graduated with a B.A. in Bible and Theology and Pastoral Studies.
After graduation, Rob accepted a Youth Pastor position at Caldwell Christian Church (CCC). So Rob and April packed their belongings and headed to Caldwell, Idaho. Rob worked as the Youth Pastor and April became a school teacher. Rob continued to grow in our Lord and later attended Northwest Nazarene University where he earned his Masters Degree. Rob was faithful to his church and was later offered the position as Senior Pastor at CCC. He served at CCC for almost 11 years until his untimely passing.
After moving to Caldwell, Rob and April were blessed with two children through the gift of adoption. Abby was born in 2008 and Eli was born in 2012. Being a dad was one of Rob's greatest treasures in life and his children were always his top priority. One of Rob's goals was to have his and April's extended family move to Idaho, he succeeded.
Rob loved golfing, fishing, target shooting, and anything Disneyland where he and his family enjoyed many vacations. Rob was a strong community leader and involved with the Love Caldwell program, lead prayer at community meetings, Pastors Prayer, organized and ran the City of Caldwell's 4th of July Celebration and Parade, began the Dinner on Us program for those in need, and so much more. Rob truly believed in the Power of Prayer and held prayer meetings at his church every week for any who wanted to attend. But most of all, Rob loved his God, his family, his church, his city, and leading people to our Jesus. His greatest desire would be for everyone to know his Jesus like he did and would want them to never cease in their pursuit of Him.
Rob is survived by his wife, April Belles; two children, Abigail 8, Elijah 4 all of Caldwell, ID; parents, Ron and Kathy Belles of Nampa, ID; in-laws, Mike and Sue Whittington of Meridian, ID; brother, Randy Belles and wife Lynn of Camano Island, WA; nephew, Ryker Belles; and brother-in-law, Jon Whittington of Meridian, ID.
We Love and Miss you. We will all gather together again in Heaven.
