Robert Joseph Meyer (B.J.)
December 13, 1946 - July 31, 2016
Robert was born December 13, 1946. In North Platte, Nebraska, on the family farm. He passed away July 31, 2016. At the Veterans Retirement Home, in Boise, Idaho.
Robert lived on the family farm, in North Platte, Nebraska. Until he was about 18 months old. Robert's parent moved throughout Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota, do to the fact that his father work road construction. The family settled to Idaho when Robert was about 15 years old.
Robert joined the United States Navy at a very young age. He was stationed in San Diego, California, Huntington Beach, California and served in the Vietnam War.
After Robert finished serving his country. He moved though out, Idaho, Oregon and Nevada. Working on ranches and driving long haul. He retired, in Nampa Idaho.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, team roping and wild horse racing, with his brother Ken. They even took first place, in the Caldwell night rodeo.
Robert is survived by his son, Patrick Meyer, of Soldotna, Alaska. His three daughters, Katrina Melton, of Mission, Oregon, Jana Roberts, of Caldwell, Idaho and Lana Stephens, of Caldwell, Idaho. His sister, Elizabeth and Bill Sorrell, of Summersville, Missouri. His brother, Kenneth Meyer, of Caldwell, Idaho. His sister, Barbra and Mike Evans, of Nampa, Idaho. His brother, Donald and Angela Meyer, of Middleton, Idaho.
Robert is also survived be many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Geneva Meyer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lions park, 508 Davis Avenue, Nampa. Idaho. On August 12, 2016, at 4pm.
