Roberta Lee Johnson
1949 - 2015
Roberta Lee Johnson (Mattin) Born June 22, 1949, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loved ones on May 9, 2015. Roberta was born to Earl and Dorothy Mattin in Eugene, Oregon. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1967 and earned an Associate in Arts Degree from Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska in 1970.
Roberta worked as an elementary education paraprofessional and church administrative assistant throughout her career in Sitka, Alaska and Nampa, Idaho. She had a passion for caring for children throughout her life including her professional work, church work, and family members. Roberta had a heart for church work and providing leadership for Sunday Schools, Bible Schools, and Women's Fellowship Groups.
Roberta married her loving husband, Andrew Johnson on September 20, 2003, in Sitka, Alaska. Roberta loved to cook for her family and bake pies for her husband, Andy. Throughout their time together they enjoyed family, camping, and watching Monday night football with long-time friends and family, Mary and Dick Goff.
She is preceded in death by her Father Earl Mattin, Sister Erline Kohler (Mattin), and Niece Rita Marks (Peterson). She is survived by her Husband, Andrew Johnson; Mother, Dorothy Mattin; Sister, Charlene Peterson; Brother-in-Law, Greg Peterson; Step Daughter, Susanne and Meghan Johnson; Grandchildren, Rebecca and Ryan Schwider; and multiple nieces, a nephew, great-nieces, and nephews.
Memorial service to be held at the First Christian Church in Nampa on May 13, 2015 at 11 am.
