Dear Christine, Brad, and Burris,
I am so sorry for the loss of Stephen. I knew him through his brother Burris. It has been many years since high school and lots of Key Club meetings together. Burrris always spoke of his brother with such a sweetness and tenderness, you just knew Stephen was very special. My heart goes out to you all. Bless you all, Denise Close Iversen

Dearest Christine, Brad and Burris,
My heart is deeply saddened for your family upon hearing of Steve's passing. What a remarkable young man and the love and respect that people have for him speaks volumes for you and Brad and his upbringing. I cannot know the depth of your sorrow but do know that God is holding you all in the palm of his hand next to his heart. Love you... Claudia Nally

I also served in the Alabama Birmingham mission. I did serve around him but was never his actual companion. He was a good elder. The world has lost a good man.

Steve was a wonderful young man, tall like his father and handsome, and he always had a smile on his face. His laughter was deep and memorable, and I loved that about him. He will be greatly missed.

Steve was such an amazing friend, so full of love, kindness and compassion. Steve was so full of life and laughter. We spent countless nights laughing, playing video games and watching movies and talking. Steve was always there for me in my times of need. Mr. and Mrs. Poole, you raised such an amazing man and I'm so privileged to have known him. He thought the world of you both and his brother. Family was the most important thing to him and he shared that with everyone. Steve was part of all my children's blessings, baptisms and confirmations. He was their favorite uncle by far. He is sorely missed and loved by us all. Till we meet again, brother. I love you, Steve.

Bradley and Christine I am just heartsick. I read the notice in the paper today and was shocked as so sad. I remember My John and Stephen growing up and being friend all the way through school. I remember us being pregnant with those two together. We love you and your family and you will be in our prayers. What would we do without our knowledge of the gospel? At least there is some degree of comfort there in times like this. Love you,
