Tangie Lynn Frisch
Tangie Lynn Frisch passed away on March 17, 2017, at the age of 68. Tangie was born May 10, 1948, in Great Falls, Montana, and was the oldest of five children. During her early years she traveled extensively with her family, living in Montana, Idaho, California, Illinois, Maine, England, and Japan. When she was in high school, her parents retired from the military to Idaho and she graduated from Grand View High School in 1966.
She married James Kent Frisch in 1971 and they have been married for 44 years. They lived in Bruneau and Oreana in the early years of their marriage. In 1974, Kent joined the Air Force and they spent four years in Idaho, Mississippi and New Mexico as well as a year spent in Grand View while Kent was overseas. During their military years, Tangie worked many hours as a Family Services Volunteer. In 1980, Kent returned to Idaho and they remained in Grand View until 2000 when they moved to Melba.
Tangie was devoted to her family. She was a stay-at-home mother and home maker who was active in military, school, and church functions. Over the years, she served as a room mother, a Scout leader, and was the book keeper for the school sports teams for years. Where her children were, you would find Tangie helping out. She could always be counted on to help where needed. Through the Awana program, she became a born-again believer and served through the Awana program and as a counselor at Shiloh Bible Camp for many years.
When her children were grown, she went back to school and obtained her transcriptionist license and worked in that capacity for several years.
She also developed a love and talent for quilting and made many beautiful, treasured pieces. When she became ill, she was determined to finish a quilt for each of her grandchildren and she did that.
Once the grandchildren came along, she once again devoted herself to them. One of the reasons she fought her battle so hard was so that she could see her grandchildren grow up. Her children and grandchildren could always count on her to be there when they needed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Roberta Osborn. Tangie leaves behind her husband, James Kent Frisch of Melba; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Dian Frisch, and grandchildren Maggie and Patrick, of Cove, Oregon; her daughter Brandi Naragon and fiancé Bryan Griggs and grandchildren: David, Alexander, and Marcus Naragon, and Zoey, and Hayden Griggs of Horseshoe Bend; daughter Deana and Jared Farrens of Cambridge and grandchildren Logan and Keith; sisters Debra and Vangie; and brothers Rick and Derrell; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Ten Mile Community Church, 4440 E Columbia, Meridian, ID 83642. There will be a meal following the service.
The family would like to thank Shelia McClure, Margaret Frisch,Trib Lana Scott, and Sandy Stimpson. We greatly appreciate your love and care for Tangie as she fought her battle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Shiloh Bible Camp, PO Box 654, Donnelly, Idaho, 83615.
