Terry G. Gulley
November 26, 1949 - January 13, 2016
Terry Grant Gulley went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at home in Caldwell, ID after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on November 26, 1949 in Boise, Idaho to Terrance and Wanda Gulley. He spent his childhood in the Boise valley and Rupert, ID areas. He received his BA in Business Management from NNC (now NNU) in Nampa.
Terry worked several places including PCA, Farm Credit, Micron and retired from Idaho Power in 2013.
Terry was a very conscientious and hard worker. He was an active member of the Nazarene Church and later Deer Flat Free Methodist. He enjoyed singing in the church choirs and was active in the church sports leagues.
He played on ball teams and loved camping, fishing, and hunting. Among his favorite places were Wallowa Lake, Sage Hen Reservoir, and the Owyhees, where you might find him reading one of his favorite Louis L'Amour books. Family was very important to Terry and attending various events with them always kept his calendar full. His great sense of humor lasted all of his days.
Terry married Carolyn (Wells) Newton in 2004. Together they raised her two sons, Tyler and Jordan, along with his grandson, Christopher.
Terry leaves behind his daughter, Jennifer Gulley of Caldwell; stepsons, Tyler and Jordan Newton of Caldwell; grandchildren, Christopher and Tera; his fiancé, Debbie Bedell of Nampa; sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Buz Bloodgood of Post Falls; nephew & wife, Bret & Joanne Bloodgood of Coeur d'Alene; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, his parents and niece, Tera Ewert.
A memorial service will be Thursday, January 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Deer Flat Free Methodist Church, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
