Travis Allan Haase
June 29, 1971 - February 25, 2017
Travis A. Haase, 45, passed away at his home in Nampa, Idaho on February 25, 2017. He was born in Torrington, Wyoming on June 29, 1971 to Ray and Madge Haase. He lived in Tracy, Calif., and Sidney, Mont., before his family settled in Chico, Calif., for his formative years. He graduated from Chico High School and California State University, Chico. In 1997, after graduating CSU, Chico, he married Bethany Harder. They moved to Nampa, Idaho and then on to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho, graduating with honors. He received his teaching credential and taught senior Government classes at Vallivue High School, where he spent his entire teaching career. Teaching was a perfect fit; he loved his students and they loved him. Travis also enjoyed laughing with his fellow teachers many of whom he gave nicknames.
In life he had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He relished get-togethers with friends on the weekends and was the life of the party. He also had great reverence for our country's history, particularly anything pertaining to WWII.
Two years ago, his daughter Beatrice was born. She was the best thing that ever happened to him.
He is survived by his wife, Bethany, and their daughter, Beatrice; parents, Ray and Madge Haase; sister, Angela Thompson and her husband, Tyler and their sons, Ian and Ryan; brother, Tim Haase and his wife, Jan.
He is also survived by his Idaho family: Steve and Jenny Fultz and family, Derek and Damien Mertz and family, Brandon and Monique Wright and family, Jim and Tiffany Engler and family, and Dale and Tonia Dixon and family. We dearly miss him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 1:00 PM at Crossroads Community Church, 4170 E. Amity in Nampa. In lieu of flowers, his friends have created a gofundme account on behalf of Beatrice, at Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home. Remembrances may be left for the family at
