Vearl Ray Rich
May 13, 1920 - March 15, 2015
Vearl Ray Rich, 94, of Middleton, Idaho, passed away at his home surrounded by loving family on March 15, 2015.
He was born May 13, 1920 in St. Charles, Idaho to Ray C. Rich and Mattie Bair Rich. He attended schools in St. Charles and Paris, Idaho, as well as, Utah State University where he met his eternal companion, Ella Laney Rich. He served three missions for the LDS two of which were with his wife. During WWII, he served in the Navy medical corp.
Vearl will be remembered for his humor, his kindness to others, and his optimistic attitude. He shared a life full of love.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Laney Rich; six children: Verla (Paul Montague), Michael (Donna), Lane (RaNea), Kay (Thomas Sorensen), Diane (George Quenzer), Ken (Linda); one sister: Merideth Wilhelmson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Lothair, Vernon, and Aisle.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 am at 22500 Lansing Lane LDS Chapel, Middleton with viewing prior at 9:30 am.
