Velma Lucille Stacy
March 9, 1926 - March 19, 2015
Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Velma Lucille Stacy, went to Heaven on March 19, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapels of Caldwell.
Velma was born March 9, 1926 in Kansas, Oklahoma to David P. and Lona Pearl (Holt) Burwell. She was the youngest of seven children.
On November 22, 1941, she married William Isaac Stacy in Rogers, Arkansas. They were later blessed with five children.
Velma worked for more than 20 years and later retired from Crookham Seed Company of Caldwell, where she made lifelong friendships. Her special friendship with Mary Lou Davis lasted through all of the years.
She loved fishing, camping, catching crawdads, yard sales, swap meets and family vacations. She was always the first person up to get the first star fish from the beaches of the Oregon Coast. She was always ready for a trip to Jackpot with her dear friend and neighbor Mrs. Leona Gepford.
Holidays were especially precious with her family. She made sure that friends and neighbors always had a home-cooked meal, to celebrate the holidays.
Velma is survived by her children, all from Caldwell; Lester Stacy, Lillie Pegram, Carol Camren, Don (Vickie) Stacy, and Patsy (Henry) Campos. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Stacy, her son-in-law Kenneth Pegram, and all of her siblings.
We will forever miss her hugs and her voice saying 'I love you' and 'I love you more!'. Condolences may be sent to
