Vivian "Bobbie" Easter
May 18, 1913 - March 15, 2015
Vivian "Bobbie" Easter, 101, passed away March 15, 2015, at home in Nampa, ID. She was born May 18, 1913, to Sarah Carlow and Harry Aldrich in Cedarville, CA. When she was four years old, the family moved by covered wagon to Nampa. She attended Kenwood, Lakeview, and Nampa High School. In 1933 she married Howard "Derb" Easter, and they had three sons: Howard, Victor, and Larry. They moved to Chino, CA, during WWII where Bobbie was an airplane mechanic. Returning to Nampa in 1945, they bought a dairy farm where they lived the remainder of their lives. She took an active role in the farm's operation and belonged to the Southside and Nampa Valley Granges. Until recently, she was an active water aerobics participant and loved socializing at the Nampa Senior Center. She enjoyed a trip to Hawaii, several cruises, antiquing, a cup of coffee (it had to be HOT), reading, hiking, music, and camping.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth, Kenneth, Earl, Victor, Jack, Verna, Velma, and Jerry; her son, Victor; and her husband.
Bobbie is survived by her brother, Don and sister, Vernice; her son, Howard (Shirley); her son, Larry (Jewel); 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family especially thanks her incredible St. Al's Hospice team; she loved every one of them. The love, care, and friendship provided by Michael Grau enabled her to stay active and remain in her home. He has been and will forever be a part of the Easter family. Donations may be made to the St. Al's Foundation, Attn: Hospice, 1055 N Curtis Rd, Boise, ID 83706.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared with the family at
