Winifred Long
2/17/1929 - 4/21/2014
Winifred I Long passed April 21. 2014.
Winifred was born in Chanute Kansas to Oather and Bertha Lundy on Febuary 17, 1929. She moved to Idaho with her parents. Attended Wendell High. She met and married Loren Long. They had 2 daughters together. They moved from Filer Idaho to Boise.
She raised us to know that when the church doors were open we were to be there and do what ever was needed to be done. She worked in the church nursery at Euclid Nazarene for years, was a caravan leader. She and Dad moved to Kuna, ID in 1976. After Dad passed away in 1994 She sold the house and had a new home built in Nampa Idaho. She loved her little home. And her cat. She joined First Church of the Nazarene in 2001. She spent many days at the Senior Citizen Center with her friends. In the final year she was part of the prayer chain. She was a faithful follower of Jesus. (I was told in the hospital she was singing to the doctor and nurses). Her faith was strong and unwavered.
In the last few months her grandson Isaac got to spent time with her with what ever she needed done. If he needed to stay with her he did. I know that they both had a special place in each others hearts.
She has two children: Sheryl Long of Nampa, Carol and James Knox of Kuna. Two grandchildren, Rebekah Schultz of Belgium and Isaac Schultz of Idaho. Two grand children Elorah and Annikah Kane. (Belgium)
Proceed in death by her parents, husband, brothers Rev John and Rev Albert.
