Carroll Howard Moon
September 30, 1918 - July 29, 2014
Carroll Howard Moon, 95, of Caldwell, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 of natural causes. Carroll was born on September 30, 1918 in Huston, Idaho to Ray and Eva Moon. They lived in Caldwell and he graduated from Caldwell High School. He married Dorothy O'Neal on November 24, 1938. Over the years Carroll held various jobs. He worked at the Harley Brothers Tire Shop and worked a short time in between at Harris Lumber. He returned to the tire shop which later became General Tire Store. He retired from there 1980.
Carroll was a member of the Whitney and Caldwell Friends Churches where he served on many committees and was an usher. He loved camping, fishing and traveling and he spent many summers in Donnelly, ID with his family after retirement.
Carroll is survived by three daughters, Norma (Duane) Dowell of Nampa, Idaho, Barbara (Dr. William) Stillway, of Island Palms, SC, and Edie (Kirt) Weimer of Meridian, a sister, Frieda Armstrong, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy, a son, Galen Moon, his daughter, Carolyn Wyatt, a brother, Paul Moon and sister, Edith Hagler.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Caldwell Friends Church, Caldwell. Condolences may be sent to www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
