Roger Dean Collins passed away in his home on April 3, 2010, at the age of 56. Roger was born Feb. 22, 1954 in Central City, NE. Roger lived in Nebraska until he was 15, when he moved to Nampa. Roger worked on farms and in the outdoors until he became disabled in 1990. From then on he dedicated his life to his family, friends, and the mountains. Roger's hobbies were camping, hunting, and fishing. If he wasn't home you could always find him on top of a mountain or down by the river.
All who knew him knew that he was a warm loving person who opened his home and heart to many and we will all greatly miss him.
Roger was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Collins; brother, Dwain; children, Billy, Randy (Mandy), Tonia, Corey, Troy (Arissa); his "inherited kids," Chad, Amy, Scott, Forest, Jeremy and Rennie; along with many grandchildren and numerous family members.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 8th in Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel (404 10th Ave. So., Nampa; 466-3545) at 7:00 p.m.
