Sofia Charlotte Moore
April 5, 2006 - January 3, 2013
Sofia Charlotte Moore, 6, of Middleton, an adored daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from a fatal car accident.
Sofia was born April 5, 2006, in Nampa, Idaho to Sharla (Reno) Moore and Dave Moore. Sofie was the youngest of three girls, but thought of herself as their equal. She was a tiny force to be reckoned with, always entertaining her family and friends with her witty sense of humor. Sofie was outgoing, spunky, kind, affectionate, funny, happy, a fierce animal lover, the family planner/director, and popular with her sisters' friends. She never was alone at high school games, because she was always being packed around from one high school student to the next.
Sofie's hobbies were horseback riding (pink cowboy boots), gymnastics, golf (pink golf clubs), t-ball, soccer, fashion, dancing, and music (especially Justin Bieber). Sofie started gymnastics last fall with a goal of becoming a cheerleader, like her friend Amber, who she had a very special bond with her whole life. School was another one of her passions-she loved everything about it, especially the social part. Sofie was a bright student at Purple Sage Elementary, where she made friends with everyone and loved her teachers. She and her BFF Olivia looked forward to seeing each other every day, and had a very unique and loving friendship from the first day they met in Kindergarten.
Sofia had an extraordinary love for each of her sisters. She loved making silly videos, cuddling, and playing with their animals. Sofie and her sister Ashton loved posing for pictures, where they took hundreds of photos together from the IPad and IPhone. Sofie loved doing things with her family. Together they enjoyed ATV motor sports, camping, and visiting extended family on the Oregon Coast and in Michigan.
Though Sofie was small in stature, she left a big impact on everyone she met, spreading sunshine everywhere. Sharla and Dave will forever miss her tender heart, vibrant personality, and her girlie-girl ways. Sofie was on her way to gymnastics class when the accident happened.
Sofie was accompanied in death by her sister Ashton, and preceded in death by her grandmother Tina Leinberger, and grandfather Blake Moore. Sofia is survived by her father David Moore, mother Sharla Moore, sister Zoey Moore, grandparents Anna and Raul Lopez and Keith and Cindy Reno, grandfather Steve Leinberger, grandma -great Viola Wall, aunts and uncles Chelsi and Todd Sholty, Shelby and Aaron Mead, Matt and Monica Lopez, Kelly Reno, and Chad Reno, cousins Garrett, Sam, Madison, Nick, Anna, Quin, and Sutton, horse Maggie, puppy Chico, dog Tucker, cats Popcorn, Archie, Bronco, Raven, and Binky, and Elvis the rabbit.
Her sweet smile and constant laughter will be missed by all. Her family is comforted knowing that Sofie and big sister Ashton are together until the day they are all reunited for eternity.
A memorial service for Sofia and her beloved sister Ashton will be held at Middleton High School on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at
