Alden "Al" E. Bequeath
May 20, 1932 - March 8, 2013
Al was born may 20, 1932 in Caldwell, Idaho to Harry and Dorothy Newton Bequeath.
He was raised and attended schools in Caldwell, Idaho
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 3 years and was honorably discharged. He later enlisted in the
U.S. Army for 3 years and was honorably discharged.
He the married the love of his life, Alva Russell on July 3, 1959 in Winemucca, Nevada.
He was employed by the Canyon County Road Dept. and later worked at Burns Chevrolet.
Al worked at Bob and Johns for a number of years. He then moved to Alaska where he worked in
the logging and trucking business. He returned to Caldwell for retirement with his wife Alva and
grandson Tyler.
One of the highlights of his retirement was the weekly card games with his sister Gail and cousins
Bobbi Farish, Joy Brown and Wanda Mason. Most of the card games were laughter and fun
rather than serious card playing.
Al is survived by his loving wife Alva, daughter Dodi, grandson Tyler and great-grandaughter Ashelynn. His sister Gail Conway and brother Ron Bequeath both of Caldwell, Idaho. Several
nephews and a cousin Bill Bequeath of Marsing, Idaho.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Mary and Charity for the wonderful care
they gave Al in his final days. At the family's request a celebration of life will be held later in
July for friends and relatives.
Cremation is under direction of Bowman Funeral of Garden City.
