Afton Christopher Allison
Afton Christopher Allison, age 6, passed away on April 13, 2012, at Primary Children's Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on October 5, 2005, to Jessica Allison (Wrigley). Afton loved being outside and looking at all the animals, he loved karate, the movies "Cars" and "Finding Nemo." He also enjoyed dressing up as a soldier in camouflage doing military physical training (Afton loved doing push-ups) and imitating his forever Daddy Jared Wrigley, who served in Iraq.
Afton was very much a daddy's boy but he had a special spot on Mom's lap for the cuddles. Afton was a unique little boy with enough energy to light a large city. When Afton and his family moved to Vancouver, Wash., he and his parents resided with family, where his cousin Danielle introduced him to karate. Afton was always full of true grit and sugar.
He is survived by his sister, Olivia Parks, of Pocatello; his brother, Izayah Wrigley of Vancouver, Wash.; his soon-to-be sister of Vancouver, Wash.; his forever daddy, Jared Wrigley and mother, Jessica Wrigley of Vancouver, Wash.; his aunt, Lynne Wrigley, uncle, Charles Wrigley, and aunt, Cher'ri Wrigley, uncle, Michael and wife, Chris Higley of Vancouver, Wash.; his aunt, Merri Manning of Vancouver, Wash.; uncle, Clarke Ray of Salt Lake City, Utah; his uncles, Ryan and Julianna Malzahn of Portland, Ore., and Travis Malzahn of Chubbuck, Idaho; Grandpa Jim and Grandma Carol Allison of Pocatello; Grandpa Steve and Grandma Carol Ore of Vancouver, Wash.; Grandpa Lee and Grandma Sherrie Eddings of Rupert, Idaho; Grandpa Ray and Grandma Betty Watson of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous cousins. Afton is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Afton Carl and Rena Croft, Irl and Dorothy Allison, Aunt Lois Norris and an older brother, Elijah.
In lieu of flowers, Jared and Jessica are requesting that donations be made to Donate Life, the company that skillfully and compassionately have worked with the family and guiding them through the process of organ donations. Donations can be made at their website,
Funeral services are pending.
The family would like to take the time to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, good thoughts and support they've received from the community. They would also like to thank the Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah (especially Cody) with the care they provided Afton and support to the family was phenomenal.
