Deborah Hendrichs Obituary

Deborah Hendrichs
May 8, 1964 - January 11, 2021
Star, Idaho - Deborah Rene (Pitts Cowan Bonham) Hendrichs, 56 years old, passed January of 2021 in Meacham, Oregon. She was the wife of John Hendrichs and they shared over 20 years of marriage together.
Born in Yreka, California she was the daughter of Gladys Marie Duran and Billy Gene Pitts. She graduated Tulelake High School in 1984. She participated in many sports and was also a cheerleader. Softball was one sport Deb really enjoyed and even participated in a fast pitch softball league. She was known to be one of the fastest pitchers in the league.
Deb enjoyed the outdoors, dogs, John Wayne movies, dancing with grandchildren, and a good party. She was funny, playful and had an infectious laugh with a soothing voice. Pepsi was usually her drink of choice and always offered to share. She was religious about keeping her patio/deck nice and sparkly clean by using pledge to make it shiny and dressed it up with gorgeous petunias. She made the best oatmeal cookies and Dutch apple pie. Her first jobs were at Dave's Chevron and Macy's Flying Services (flagger), but she spent the majority of her working career at Les Schwab Tires where she worked for 37 years. She worked in the Tulelakes branch and the last 26 years recently she was at the Meridian branch of Les Schwab. If you ever stopped in, she was often the first and last person to greet you. She was always very caring and loved helping people.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband John Hendrichs, sisters Cynthia (Tom), Rhonda (JD), nieces Jennifer (Dwayne), Tyler (Josh), Angela, Ashleigh and; nephews Andrew (Emily with children James and Sammy), Harlan (Harlan had a special auntie nickname which she was affectionately known as "TT"), Isaac and Owen; uncle Robert (Ann);
and dog Hugh. She also had a step family consisting of children Melissa (Blake with her grandchildren Jordan, Nathan, and Stella), Chris (Vanessa with her grandchildren Russell and Nikko), Justine (with grandchildren Ella and Owen), and Michael (Carmen with her grandchildren Mika and Mason). She had special brother in laws Harlan and Joe (Leah). She was predeceased by her mom Gladys, dad Billy, sister Angela, sister Barbara, uncles Dick (Barbara), Jack (Faye), and Toby, grandparents Toby and Madonna Duran, and cousins Michael and Sheri.
The Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 at River House at 960 Main St, Star, ID from 10:35 am to 4:00 pm. Dress as you are (casual attire is okay).
