Michael Beavers Obituary

Michael Edward Beavers
10/15/1958 ~ 5/22/2017
Michael (Mike) Edward Beavers
October 15, 1958 – May 22, 2017
Mike Beavers, 58, of Melba passed away from cardiac arrest at his home on Monday May 22, 2017. Mike is now at peace and no longer in pain because he is in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mike was born the youngest of three children to Carl & Carol Beavers on October 15, 1958 in Boise, Idaho. He spent much of his youth at the family cabin near Crouch hunting with his Granddad Dike and cutting firewood with his Dad. Mike graduated from Borah High School in 1978 and the following year met the love of his life Deana Weast. Outdoor adventures bonded their relationship for nearly 38 years from their first date of snowmobiling to their recent Alaskan fishing trip. Mike passed along his love of the outdoors to their three children, teaching them to shoot, hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and everything in between. Mike was a devoted husband and father who selflessly supported the kids in their many 4-H and FFA projects on their small family farm in Kuna. Mike was a skilled truck mechanic working for Eddy's Bakery in Boise for 28 years. After opting for an early retirement and moving to Melba, he found a truly rewarding career as an Owyhee County Sheriff Reserve Deputy and volunteer firefighter for the Murphy Reynolds Wilson Fire District. On May 4, 2017 Mike became an Owyhee County Marine Deputy. He also loved to run the Snake River with friends in their jet boats. Mike was the proud grandfather of four granddaughters who he dearly loved to spoil. One of his greatest delights was to plan an extravagant Easter egg hunt for them each year. From an early age, Mike was never without a reliable four-legged companion at his side. Mike leaves behind his wife and best friend Deana, daughter Rebecca (Dennis) Rutan, son Joe (Lucia) Beavers, daughter Katie (Tyrel) Dyer, brother Carl (Barbara) Beavers, sister Debie (Norm) Rudolph, father in law Gerald Weast and granddaughters Madilyne, Paisley, Makayla & Hailey. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother in law Helen Weast and sister in law Norma Beavers. In memory of Mike, donations can be made to the Owyhee County Sheriff's Posse PO Box 128 Murphy, ID 83650 or MRW Fire & EMS 11606 State Highway 78 Givens Hot Springs, Idaho 83641.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am at the Melba Community Baptist Church Tuesday, May 30, 2017 with procession to the Melba Cemetery to follow.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.

My heart is broken to learn of Mike's passing. I remember our early years at Terrace Lakes playing in the pool and snowmobiling on the golf course with him and Russ Diffendaffer. He was such a great friend and I have always wondered what happened to him. I'm glad that he found love and had a beautiful family and grandchildren. Debi and Carl, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Also to his family, although I haven't seen or talked to Mike for 40 years, I remember him as a kind and gentle giant that would do anything for anybody. He will be missed by many people, but he has now joined his Mom and Dad and will be with you again. My prayers are with you as well.

To the family of Mike: I went to Jr. High & High School with Mike. He was always such a kind soul and so friendly. Although I hadn't seen him for years, he's always held a spot in my heart. My condolences to all of you.

Deana and family, we're so sorry we can't make Mike's funeral. Anne's had some health issues of late and today's not a good travel day. So please accept our condolences. We'll take you up on the suggestion about the Sheriff's Posse.

We remember Mike from the time we first met him. Trips duck hunting with him and Carl. Dog training with our Labs and his. We couldn't lose him--he stuck to you when he was following like a burr. That's what Annie called him--"The Burr." He's stuck with us forever since then. We love him a lot--still do.

God bless you all.

Deana, I am so sorry for your loss. I was in the office at the bakery when you both were there. I remember him as shy and a very likable boy. Please know you are in my thoughts.
