Carol Mooney
October 24, 1938 - March 6, 2021
Mountain Home, Idaho - Carol Ann Mooney, age 82, of Mountain Home, passed away at home on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Carol will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. A Celebration of Carol Ann's life will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Carol was born on October 24, 1938 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Thomas and Norma (Gaines) Mellen. After graduating from Mountain Home High School, Carol worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. John Bideganeta for many years.
Carol had a great love for all animals, especially dogs and horses. She was also a proud member of the Mountain Home Street Walkers who raise money for the 4th of July Fireworks.
Carol is survived by her son Cory Yost of Spokane, Washington, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Carol is preceded in death by both her parents, her sister Norma Staten, brothers Thomas, Jon and Charles Mellen and her daughter Julie Yost.
The family would like to thank Carol's faithful caretaker Tracy Guldseth for all her help.
Memorials can be made in Carols name to the Mountain Home Animal Shelter at 1195 So. Main, Mountain Home, Idaho.

I am so sorry to hear that Carol has passed away. I met her in the 1980's through her brother, Chuck. She was a wonderful and funny woman. Lots of laughing and funny stories.
My sincere condolences to her family.
