Curtis James Landreth Obituary
Curtis James Landreth
July 8, 1964~ February 2nd, 2018
Curtis James Landreth, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at the age of 53 surrounded by his family at home on his farm as was his wish. His family was able to take him, via a wheel chair, on one final tour of his farm including visiting his horse, seeing his tractors and seeing the re-lighting of the Christmas lights he missed while in the hospital over the holiday. The smile on his face said it all.
Curt was born in Boise to Vernon and Ellen Landreth on July 8, 1964. He spent most of his childhood in Western Oregon. After graduation from Eagle Point High School he attended Boise Bible College where he met the love of his life. He and Deanne were married in August 1984. His first son, Nathan, was born in 1990 and he started his business, Advanced Control Service, with Dale Newberry in 1991. His family continued to grow with the birth of his daughter, Danielle in 1992, Mitchell in 1995 and, Mackenzie in 1997.
Curt's visionary mind has added many new directions and possibilities for the ACS family to grow and shine through. In 2009 he partnered with Steve Thomsen, changing the name to Advanced Control Systems, LLC. Since then the business continues to grow and has become a prevalent force in the automation industry in the Northwest and beyond.
Curt thrived in the interaction with his employees, customers and professional associates. However, his true love was his family and farm. He used to tell the doctors and nurses that he owned an engineering company in order so support his farming habit. His grandsons brought a whole new light into his life and even on days when he was not feeling well he would still take them on tractor rides.
Curt's battle with cancer began in 2014. He fought a strong fight with confidence and a strong positive outlook throughout the journey. Trusting in the Lord God to give him peace and endurance through this process.
Curt is survived by his wife Deanne, his son Nathan (Melissa), daughter Danielle (Shadrach) McHargue, son Mitchell (Lauren), son Mac, and grandchildren Carson and Ronan with 3 more to arrive in 2018. Also survived by his parents Vernon and Ellen Landreth, sisters Connie (Todd) Aebischer and Crystal (Greg) Dittman and brother Corey (Andrea)
