Hilda Wright Obituary
Hilda Lee Wright
Hilda Lee (All) Wright, 89, of Boise passed away quietly on April 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Eugene Wright, her parents, Roy W. and Stella E. All, and her brother William E. All. She is survived by her sister Norma J. All, La Mirada, CA; three sons Gary (Robin) Wright, Ronald (Brenda) Wright, and Brian (Linda) Wright all of Boise; five grandchildren Brandon, Brenna, Kyle, Amber and Adriane; and eight great grandchildren.
Hilda was born on October 13, 1928 near Jay, Oklahoma. She attended the All School, which her grandfather built, until the age of 13. The Great Dust Bowl of Oklahoma decimated the family farm. Hilda, her parents, grandmother, brother and sister moved to Idaho in 1941 in a loaded down 4 door Pontiac to start a new life.
Hilda graduated from Filer High School in 1946. While attending school in Filer she met the love of her life Kenneth. While Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during WWII Hilda stood vigilant until his return. They were married on December 11, 1948 and celebrated 58 years of marriage together.
Hilda worked as a book keeper and store clerk for several businesses in Twin Falls, Idaho. Her primary focus was her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved sports and fishing. Of all the sports she enjoyed, baseball was her favorite, always getting excited each year for the World Series, but rarely ever picking the winner. She loved the excitement of the game and the unity of the family spirit the game brought out. She was a dedicated fisherman and it never took a lot of encouragement to get her to the water's edge.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City.
