Larry Elford Moulton Obituary
Larry E. Moulton
June 14, 1937 - September 10, 2018
Larry Elford Moulton died September 10, 2018 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 81 following a hard fought nine-month illness. Larry was born in Emmett, Idaho on June 14, 1937 to Ellis and Jennie Moulton. He attended school in Emmett and Grangeville. On December 31, 1959, Larry married Margaret Vaughn-Mulligan and became the father of John and Tim Mulligan. Together Larry and Margaret had two daughters, Brenda and Rhonda. Larry worked as a cat operator building roads, as a lineman building power line towers, and ultimately, he became a licensed electrician. He retired from Idaho State School and Hospital in 1999. Larry lived in Emmett most of his life and later, in retirement, moved to Boise. Larry loved to spend time outside whether it was tinkering on a project or enjoying the mountains of Idaho. In 1993 Larry and Margaret began building a cabin in Lowman. That cabin became his favorite place. He spent his time at the cabin building, fishing, hunting, riding horses and four wheelers, and sitting by the campfire all while spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Larry placed his faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior and he and Margaret attended church at Eagle Christian Church. Larry is survived by his wife Margaret, children John (Tina) Mulligan, Tim Mulligan, Brenda (Duane) Carbaugh, Rhonda (Jim) Hetherington, ten grandchildren (Jared, Carrie, John, Brandon, Ben, Alisha, Dustin, Matthew, Sam, and Gabe), many great grandchildren, brother Vern (Carrie) Moulton, and special niece Denise Brockett who visited with and helped care for him. Larry was preceded in death by his mother Jennie Howell, father Ellis Moulton, step-father Ulysses Howell, and brother Ron (Carol) Howell. Services will be held at Eagle Christian Church on September 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. Thank you to Jim and James of Eagle Christian Church for the visits and to the care providers at Life Care of Treasure Valley.
