Linda Lou Silene
October 18, 1932 - April 12, 2021
Eagle, Idaho - Linda Lou Silene, 88, of Eagle, Idaho, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2021. She was surrounded by three generations of her loving family and passed peacefully and with Grace.
Linda was born on October 18, 1932 in Bell, Ca., to Wayne & Laurel Harkins. Linda lived her life serving & loving others. Her greatest joy besides her family was singing, she had the voice of an angel. She spent her life sharing the love of Jesus & God's gift of salvation.
Linda graduated from Santa Monica College in 1953, where she met Norman Powell, they married the following year. They welcomed three daughters, Susie, Diane & Amy. Linda enjoyed a career as a Credit Union Manager. In 1978 she and Norman divorced.
The following year she met & married Hal Silene, they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they started a business known as My Spud Stuff. They both loved Idaho. Within a few years of Hal's passing in 2000, she relocated to Eagle, Idaho.
She attended the Vineyard, Boise, where she enjoyed Celebrate Recovery and was active in Women's prison ministries. Her greatest sorrow in life, was the passing of her Daughter, Diane in 2004.
Linda is survived by sisters, Shirley Barrett & Kay Tepolt, daughters, Susie Jewell & Amy Powell, grandchildren, Jennifer Jewell, Jacob Bennett, Monica Sayer & Madeleine Bennett, great grandchildren, Luke Sayer, Rob Sayer & Natalie Wilde. She was so proud of her family and grateful she got to hold her great grandchildren. Rest in peace Mom, yours was a life well lived with beauty & grace.
