Orval G. "Casey" Johnston
1934 ~ 2018
Orval G. "Casey" Johnston, 83, of Emmett, Idaho passed away March 9, 2018, after a three-year battle with dementia. He was born in Boise, Idaho on July 11, 1934.
Casey attended school in Emmett before joining the Navy in 1952. After serving as a cook on a submarine he was discharged in 1956. Casey was married to Joan Radandt on November 24, 1955. They were married for 62 years.
Casey worked for Boise Cascade Corporation for more than 40 years, retiring in 1997. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially elk hunting trips and steelhead and salmon fishing.
Casey is survived by his wife, Joan; his son, Brent (& Lori), of Nampa and his daughter, Jeannie (& Bob) Thielges, of Emmett; his four grandsons: Shawn (Nicole) Thielges, Casey Thielges, Pat Johnston, and Alex (Amanda) Johnston; and his three great-grandchildren: Kayden and Ryder Thielges and Brooklyn Johnston, and his brother, Edward, and sister, Clara Lee Burkhart.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 17, at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
