Treva Wilhite Obituary

Treva Lynn Wilhite
November 21, 1952 ~ December 12, 2015
Treva Lynn Wilhite, 63, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 7:50 pm after battling stage four pancreatic cancer for over 14 months. Her family was by her side as her Heavenly Father ushered her into His presence.
Treva was born to Joe and Cora Sullivan of Caldwell, Idaho on November 21, 1952. Treva went to Greenleaf Grade School and attended the 7th and 8th Grade at Vallivue Jr. High School. Treva attended all four years of high school at Greenleaf Friends Academy where she was the head cheerleader, was involved in the Girls State Legislature and school politics. After graduating from high school, she attended the Caldwell Beauty School and became a Cosmetologist, working at Wretha's Beauty Salon in Nampa, Idaho for several years. She was a dedicated homemaker for the majority of her life, raising two boys, Lucas and Brady Wilhite. She spent much of her later years caring for her elderly mother as well as several friends who needed help. She made a powerful spiritual impact on people up until her last breath.
Treva is survived by her husband, Jim Wilhite; her son, Luke Wilhite and his wife, Chandra; her son, Brady Wilhite and his wife, Jenna; and five wonderful grandchildren: Hadlee, Paige, Oliver, Jackson, and Lydia. She is also survived by a brother, Larry Sullivan and his wife, Elaine; and another brother, Richard Sullivan and his wife, Barbara. She is survived by several other family members on both sides of her family, consisting of the Sullivans and the Wilhites.
Treva was in the 4-H program from the 5th grade through her junior year of high school, showing lambs. She won many show events, including winning the highest honors of Grand Champion Lamb and Grand Champion Showmanship at not only the Canyon County Fair, but also the Western Idaho State Fair in Boise.
She loved her family and adored her grandkids. She enjoyed every minute of traveling on several trips across the nation, to Hawaii several times and Europe with her husband of 40 years.
She spent one year designing her home where she has lived since 2007. She loved her antique furniture and designed her home so that each piece would fit perfectly. She enjoyed collecting porcelain swans, Boyd's bears, vintage hats, and anything with bling. Treva thoroughly enjoyed making several quilts for her kids, nieces, nephews, and babies arriving in the Sullivan and Wilhite families.
Treva had a heart that followed after Jesus beginning at a very early age and her witness grew throughout her entire life. She was never afraid to take on projects and assignments for the Lord.

Jim and family, I have so many wonderful memories of Treva from elementary school clear through high school. I mostly remember us laughing a lot and often in study hall, and Mrs. Hardinger shushing us. I still owe her a hairband in return for the one I borrowed from her when we played together at her house in grade school. I've always loved Treva and her precious spirit as long as I've known her. We have been holding you up in prayer and will continue doing so. Our thoughts are with you!
