John C. "Johnny" Rouse Jr.
Died December 6, 2012 at the age of 60. John was born on December 2, 1952 to the late John Sr. and Cosetta (Walker) Rouse in Indianapolis. He was taught at an early age to treat others as he would like to be treated, and to love and fear God.
John graduated from Harry E. Wood High School. He later joined the United States Navy. He enjoyed being able to serve his country. He served on active duty and received an honorable discharge from the Navy. He worked for Hook's Drugstore and later for Maraud Inc. as an electronic welder.
John enjoyed life and family. He was selfless and always putt others needs and wants before his own. He would often seek individuals in need to assist in any way to make life easier for them. John embodied the true meaning of Christian manhood, whether it was organizing a boys night to watch the game or helping his family. Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Tamalar; sisters, Deborah, Eunice and Paula; brother, Orrin; as well as a host of aunts, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Uncle John,
It still doesn't seem real that you are not here! We had so many great memories and it is hard to fathom that we will not share those memories anymore. The holidays are approaching and I am still expecting to see your gentle and kind spirit. Thank you for always being you and being the best male role model in my life. I worried that Joshua would never get a chance to know how great a man you were, but I will make it a point to tell him all about you and keep your memory alive. I love you so much and I will see you soon!!!

So very sorry to learn of John's passing. He was truly a good friend in school and a great guy. I will forever remember him for taking on the role of a leader and not a follower. My condolences to the family.
