Debbie J. Johnson-Miller
59, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 1, 2013. Born August 10, 1953 at Methodist Hospital. Youngest of four children born to James Ruben and Carolyn J. Johnson. Attended Clinton Young Grade School, Perry Meridian Middle School and graduated from Southport High School in June of 1971. Debbie retired from Indianapolis Power and Light after 30 years of service and just finished 11 years at Citizen's Energy Group. Her life was blessed when she met Chris Emerson Miller and joined their lives together in June 1981. They were blessed every day of their lives and shared their love and joy with dear friends, family and many others. They blessed God everyday that they were allowed to be together. She is survived by her beloved husband, Chris E. Miller; children, Kristina Miller and Michael Miller; 5 grandchildren, Airman Christopher Tanner Horoho, Shelby Horoho, Alexa Miller, Hunter Miller and Sophie Miller; one great granddaughter, Nadia Miller; mother, Carolyn J. Johnson; brother, James Johnson; sister, Vickie Johnson and faithful four legged children, Kirby Sue and Kelsey Ann Miller.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Ruben Johnson; and one brother, Mark A. Johnson.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home , 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Animal Shelter, 1614 W. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46217; or Bestfriends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road Kanab, UT 84741.
