Greg and Albert, It has been along time since I have seen Mrs. Umphrey. but one look at the picture and I recalled a warm and caring mother to you guys, and did not hesitate to keep you guys in line. Her presence and smile helped set the tone of the neighborhood. May God comfort you during this time.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Umphrey's family, loved ones and friends.
I would like the family to know of the gift Mrs. Umphery has left me with; the life lesson that you may never know whom you might touch in life because I'm not sure Mrs. Umphrey ever knew how much she touched me.
I met Mrs. Umphrey when I was a young girl through her granddaughter, Kenyatta who was my childhood friend. Over the years she continued to ask Kenyatta how I was doing even though I'd moved away from Indianapolis long ago. It was a warm and comforting feeling to know that she remembered me enough to inquire about me after so many years. She is one of the women I consider an "earth angel" because I know somehow that her thoughts and prayers of wishing and wanting the best for me helped to keep me over these years. It is no small thing to be thought of and, through her granddaughter, Mrs. Umphrey made sure I knew that I was fondly remembered and cared about by a beautiful woman who was not related to me. I know that, from heaven now, she continues to watch over her family and others she took the time to care for, including me.
