Mary M. "Peggy" O'Kane
Age 85, of Indianapolis IN, passed away peacefully on Oct 24, 2013. She was born to Ed and Mary Aspinall(deceased). She graduated from Shortridge HS and attended Butler University, where she joined Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Happily married to Paul (deceased) for 61 yrs and having 4 children: Karen (Steve) Cox (deceased) Nancy O'Kane, Kevin (Joan) O'Kane, Patrick (Wendy)O'Kane, and her loving grandchildren: Jen (PJ) Murphy, Hilarie (Eric) Hooper, Parker O'Kane, Max Wolk, Michal Wolk, Chris Cox, Colleen (John) Phillippe, Kendall O'Kane, Caleb O'Kane and Brooke Graham, and great-grandchildren, Kieran and Quinn Murphy, Charlie and Caroline Hooper. Her sisters Patty (John) Reel and Jane (Ev) Fleming also survive. Peggy was involved with St. Margarets Hospital Guild, 2nd Presbyterian Food Bank, IU Hospital volunteer and her memberships with Latreian, Garden Club, Meridian Hills Country Club, Water Babes and especially her "Golden Girls."
Calling will be Tuesday, Oct 29 from 12-2 p.m. in Second Presbyterian Church, immediately followed by a Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to, Second Presbyterian Church Food Bank and St. Vincent Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Leppert Mortuary - Nora . How blessed I feel to have been "related" to Peggy all of my life. The O'Kane & Grady Families have always had such a special bond. Peggy will be in our hearts forever.
