Alexander Pancraty "Alex" Crouch
24, Fortville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Alex was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 9, 1988 to parents, William M. "Bill" Crouch, II and Hera P. (Vareldzis) Crouch. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and attended Vincennes University, where he became a member of Delta Gamma Iota Fraternity. Alex worked as a grounds keeper for Royal Highlands Golf Club in Knightstown, IN. He attended Second Presbyterian Church and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Alex was a truly wonderful young man who was loved by everyone he met. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back, especially to those he felt needed his compassion the most. He always brought a positive outlook and a smile that lit up the room, and a unique gift and love for the elders in his path. He particularly loved fishing, golf, the ocean, animals, and his friends. He had a very special relationship with his little sister Ari, and most of all, he loved his Mother Hera more than words could ever say.
Alex is survived by his parents, Bill and Hera Crouch; sister, Ari Crouch; maternal grandmother, Aristea Pappas; paternal grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Crouch; aunt, Hayden Crouch Barber (Vance); uncle, Dr. Basil Vareldzis; cousins, Cameron Pikula and Ashton Barber; and godfather, Kris Lienert.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Pappas and James Crouch; and uncle, James R. Crouch.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, where calling will be held prior to services from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.

To the family of Alex Crouch. I am so sorry for your loss. My son spoke of Alex often. I my self had spoken to him a few times when he would come over to our house. He will be missed. My heart and prayers go out to all of you. May Gods love see you through this. I will continue to pray for you all. I lost my daughter November 19, 2011. It was the hardest thing i ever had to go through and i still struggle each and every day, but with Gods help you will get through it. We selfishly want to keep our loved ones here, but remember he is in heaven with Jesus and with his loved ones that have passed, and what a beautiful place it is. He would not want to be back here on this earth. I will continue to pray for you all.

Bill, Hera, and Ari,
I have been praying for each of you daily, and will continue to do so for some time. As one mother to another, Hera, my heart is broken for you. Alex sounded like such an amazing and compassionate man; I can only imagine he would not want his family to suffer in their grief, but to be strong and celebrate his life. I am praying that you may all feel God's comforting embrace, enduring love, and that peace surrounds you.

Bill, Hera, & Ari,
I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Alex. Words cannot express my deep feelings of loss for your family. I can only hope that keeping you in my prayers can help lighten your sorrow somewhat. Alex was a wonderful, carefree young man with such a great spirit. Katie spoke so fondly of him, almost like a brother. His loving, kind and generous personality comes from his warm and loving parents and a sister that was also always there for her brother. Thank you for your kindness and generosity to my daughter Katie. I will continue to pray for strength for your family. Love to all of you at this time.

To the Crouch and Pappas families, my heart breaks at this sad news. Alex made an impression on me from the first time I met him (I believe he was two!) I know he was loved, especially by his grandmother Aristea. My thoughts and those of Peggy, Becky and Camille are with you all.
