Dean Ryan Barrett

18, of Zionsville died January 2, 2013. He was born on December 24, 1994 in Indianapolis to Brian Paul and Michelle Joan (Bartick) Barrett. Dean was a senior at Zionsville Community High School.

Dean loved participating in sports. He enjoyed swimming, football, lacrosse and basketball, but most of all he loved snowboarding. Dean's true passions were his family, friends, and his faith in Jesus Christ. Dean was happiest and most at peace when he was serving the Lord. He had been accepted to Indiana University but planned to participate in a 9-month mission trip with Passport Adventure Missions before beginning college. This mission would take Dean to three countries all over the world. Dean attended Zionsville Presbyterian Church and Eagle Church.

Dean will be greatly missed by those who survive him. Survivors include his parents, Brian and Michelle; his brothers, Rex and Grant and his sister, Jade; his grandparents, David and Marjorie Barrett, Kevin and Cecelia Smith, and Richard and Virginia Bartick; his aunts and uncles, Marc Bartick, Penny Foy, Ronald and Lisa Sturgeon, Jonathan and Laura Bartick, Timothy and Kirsten Barrett, and Deborah Barrett, and his other loving relatives and friends. Dean's family finds great comfort knowing that Dean is safely home with his Lord and Savior.

A celebration of Dean's life and faith will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Eagle Church, 5801 S. Main St. (Co. Rd. 650E), Whitestown, IN. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
