Rev. Larry M. Curtis

74, Yorktown, died, February 13, 2013. Larry was born in Leesburg, VA on March 2, 1938.

Larry earned a BA degree in 1960 from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA and a M. Div in 1963 from Gordon Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

He was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church and joined the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and transferred to the Indiana Conference in 1966. He served Indiana United Methodist churches as an associate at Broadway in Indianapolis, and as pastor at Greenfield Bradley, Southport, Evansville Methodist Temple, Columbus First, Superintendent of the former Indianapolis West District and senior pastor of Richmond Central before retiring in 2001.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy; two children, Linda Smith (husband, Roger), Yorktown and Wes Curtis (wife, Ann), Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at College Avenue United Methodist Church, 1968 W. Main St., Muncie. Cremation was held.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory , Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., Muncie from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013.
