Leona "Lee" G. Beineke Bush

86, of Indianapolis, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Leona was born Sept. 3, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to Clara and Clarence Beineke. She was baptized September 19, 1926 at Emmaus Lutheran Church by Pastor Harry Krueckelberg and was confirmed at Emmaus on May 12, 1940. On October 9, 1948 she was united in marriage to LaRoy "Bud" Bush at Emmaus Lutheran Church by Pastor Krueckelberg. They along with son, Mark became members of Calvary Lutheran Church in 1956. She served on numerous volunteer committees and also served as Pastor Albers church secretary for 5 years. Lee was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School '44, worked at the Indianapolis Water Company and retired from National Piggyback Services. In Lee's early years she served as Indianapolis' Miss. Flame for one year. Lee was a dedicated and loved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed by her family and those who called her friend.

She is survived by her children: Mark A. (Kellie) Bush, Paul A. (Jodi) Bush and Claire E. (Rodney) Hendricks; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her brother Arthur "Art" Beineke, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaRoy "Bud" W. Bush and siblings, Florence Beineke, Clarence Beineke, Herbert Beineke, Edna (Beineke) Rodenbeck, and Blanche I. (Beineke) Johnson.

Visitation: 4-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 10 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue.

Funeral: 11:00 AM Friday, January 11 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6111 S. Shelby St., with visitation there one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Concordia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: Calvary Lutheran Church.
