Walter "Sandy" Robbins

69, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 6, 2013. He was born December 5, 1943, in Kingsport, Tennessee. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and mentor. He graduated from Speedway High School and attended Purdue University. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita Knight Robbins; his son, Ken and wife Nicole Robbins; his daughter, Kristy and husband Scott Babcock, his grandson, Keller Babcock; his brother, Bill and wife Liz Robbins; his sister, Phyllis Coughlin; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillian Robbins. After 39 years of service, Sandy retired from Georgia Pacific Corp, Atlanta, GA as Vice President, Engineered Lumber Division. A Celebration of Sandy's life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday July 27, at the home of his nephew in Danville, IN.
