Dale C. Auerbach

Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2013. He was born April 24, 1929 in Bedford to, the late Robert and Geneva Stahl Auerbach. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joan Auerbach-Burroughs. Surviving is his wife, Kaye C. Boruff Auerbach of 57 years; sons, David (Kathy) Auerbach of Indianapolis and Bradley D. (Linda) Auerbach of Plain City, OH and granddaughter, Mikaya Auerbach. He spent summers on Lake Maxinkuckee at Culver Military Academy; graduated from Woodcraft and Naval Schools. In 1950 was a Woodcraft Drum and Bugle Corp instructor. He graduated from the Indiana University Schools of Business and Education. He taught Distributive Education, Principal at Break O' Day School and taught the Dale Carnegie courses. While he attended Indiana University he was a member of the Marching 100 and the I.U. Symphony Band as percussionist. He was an Air Force veteran and returned to the family business, The Chicago Branch Store. Dale's passion was aviation, had his license at 16, flew and owned his favorite Bonanza. He attended the Christian Science Church. He was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa; The Culver Academy Alumni Association; the Indiana University Band Alumni Association and the AOPA. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 in Singleton Com munity Mortuary and Memorial Center , with visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22 in the mortuary. Committal service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, in Crest Haven Cemetery, Bedford. Memorial gifts have been suggested to Parkinson's Awareness Association of Central Indiana or Vistacare.
